The Olivier Franc Quintet is widely recognized as the finest current New Orleans–style jazz ensemble. Led by Olivier Franc, one of the foremost specialists of Sidney Bechet’s music, the group delivers a rich and authentic sound while adding a fresh, personal touch. Since 2006, Olivier Franc has been performing on Bechet’s own soprano saxophone, a historic and deeply symbolic instrument.
